Purposely and continually singling out groups (for good or bad) hasn't helped "civilization".
Leaning toward homogenization, like it or not, is the way of the world anyway.
Fighting that has been a built-in human trait and the resulting friction is brutal.
That said, I don't think it will ever end. Humans want to be with their own kind.
